Your exercises are going well, and yet a normal week falls apart. Occupational therapy looks at your day instead of your body, and builds up from there.

After a concussion or whiplash, everything takes more energy than before, and that energy is also less predictable. You start off well, you do too much, and the rest of the day or week you are out of commission.
That pattern repeats itself easily. Occupational therapy addresses this at the level where things go wrong: your week. Which tasks are disproportionately draining, what can you do differently or at a different time, and in what order do you build up without constantly relapsing.
This program is right for you if:

Your exercises go well, but a normal week doesn't
You do too much on good days and pay for it later
You don't know which tasks drain you the most
You are unable to work or study during the hours you were used to
Things are piling up at home and it's starting to weigh on you
You want to know what you can adjust at work
You want to build up your capacity without constant setbacks

You often notice progress in your week before you notice it in your symptoms. Like a busy day no longer dictating your entire week. We start with the things you want to be able to do again.

Our therapists specialize in working with people who have persistent symptoms following a concussion or whiplash. We understand the challenges that arise when symptoms affect your daily life, your activities, and your trust in your body.

When your symptoms are difficult to understand, it is hard to know how to deal with them. That is why we dedicate a lot of time to explanation. With a better understanding of what is happening, it becomes easier to make choices.

Many people find that fear of their symptoms begins to dictate their choices. We work on ways to gradually resume activities, so your day revolves less around your symptoms.

Most treatment programs are conducted via video. You can also visit one of our clinics by appointment.

Research indicates that persistent symptoms following a concussion or whiplash are usually influenced by multiple factors simultaneously.
That is why it is often recommended to combine an explanation of your symptoms with gradual exposure, building up activities, and finding ways to re-engage with what is meaningful to you. We translate that knowledge into concrete plans tailored to your situation.

Small steps over a longer period make a big difference.

There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan. Some people find a few sessions and concrete agreements sufficient. Others benefit from longer-term guidance. You pay per session, and only for what you need.
